It's summer, it's hot and nice outside and life is flying by, we shouldn't be on the computer. But today, after too much dry spells and repeated empty promises from the weather network of severe thunder shower watch, we finaly received a well needed rain poor. It came right arround my final hours at work, one last attempt to give it all i got for the week and squeeze out every single drop of creativity for AitkensPewter. Thus why i'm finally on this life sucking beast of a computer entering this mixed excited/negative overtoned blog.

I feel a valid entry is in order for the Emerge Artist Collective which i'm currently president for and am quite proud to be part of. I've been buzy plugging the group to various galleries in our province, we're trying to have a provincial tour in 2008 with a themed show called "Eponym". So if you or someone you know have liaisons to such an establishement in New Brunswick please send any contact information my way, the sooner the better! We'd also like to unveil our newly constructed site, please take a moment and go visit : EMERGE and send me some comments, unless they're bad, in which case i don't want to hear it.

Aside from that, the marriage is developing nicely, we're getting close so naturaly my anxiety level has reached level 1 of my 10 level meter, stay tuned for future blogs where my level will no doubt start skyrocketing. I'm excited and happy to finaly become a husband to a woman who makes me feel 100% happy and content and that i'm looking forward to grow with; mudheadpuddle .All this Bullshit work will all be worth while once it's all said and done! I suppose i should go get a tux or something, only 1 month away, no worries..

Well, i finaly decided to join a part of society today , in more ways then one. I passed my driver's test and got a piecec of paper that says i can no legaly drive, look out folks, i'm on the road with you now!! Well, not until i get a car anyway, which is the next step i suppose. Not only that but my lovely wife to be and I got our wedding licence registered so we're inching our way to the final prize, eternal patience here we come!

If that weren't enough, today again I picked up a parcel that was waiting for me at kings place, after passing my driver's test I scrolled across the street and picked up this parcel which was a small white parcel envelop. Inside it was my PASSPORT! YESSS, so I can now get a car and cruise across the boarder if i wish. I'm now officialy in my government's back pocket, which i've come to except in my older age. That teenage angst continues to dwindle to nothing as I continue rising in my chosen path, bettering my life and recreating a sort of bubble of happy paradise, just a small bubble, enough to make Jenn and I happy before we fade away into dusty skeletons. Security and consumption is not always bad and self fullfilement is sometimes necesary.

So I deemed this eventful day LiveJournal worthy and there you have it, I thought i'd gloat to the world and announce my ongoing human status with society. On the creative front, these newly aquired things have filled my time for the past month so I'm eager to dive back into some projects real soon. My creative juices have been stiring for a while now and i think output is unevitable.

With less then 5 days away that same familiar feeling of dread and anxiety picks up a notch leaving me at the stress line and hoping all goes well. Everything in my life slowely dissapears one by one as the obsessive thoughts of show details clutters the space i had left for my sanity.

In preperation for the show, I have composed a CD of up to date PLA tracks, the ones we will jam live at the show (in their original sequence) and maybe a few bonus tracks to complete the package. They will be on sale during the show for 5$ each, what a deal! Nine Inch NAils has released a folder of multitracks for their new track "survivalism"
which will be in the upcoming album "year zero". I was very reluctant to attempt to remix this because i wanted to do it justice in my own weird way but still maintain the integrety of the song. Despite needing some level ajustements maybe, and some filtering, i believe I've completed this track. I've been listeneing to this over and over for the past few days so i'm letting you guys have a listen through your systems /headphones (which will totaly change from what i've been listening with) and let me know what you think, how it sounds at your end of things and so on. I welcome all comments and constructive critisism, unless it's bad, then i don't want to hear it.
